FAQ

'...Her characters are sometimes dark, sometimes comical, but always searingly honest, and never what they appear to be on the surface. A refreshingly original voice.'

- Tyro Pro News

Heidi Decker's plays  explore the intrigue and peculiarity of daily life and seemingly ordinary people.

What does that mean?  Everyone looks normal on the outside.  Nobody is.

Life is weird and people are weirder, most of us just hide it well.  Heidi's multi-faceted characters offer a look beneath our homogenized outer shells into the deeply private eccentricities hiding inside us all.

Ms.  Decker's plays have been produced across the United States, Great Britain and Australia. Excerpts from her plays can be found in several anthologies (see below) available in most bookstores, as well as universities and acting studios worldwide.

Also an actress who spent many years searching for 'meaty' roles to play, her writing focuses on character depth and development, making it ideal for the actor in search of original and compelling material.

Her works include:

Eye of the Beholder

Small Mercies

Panic

Hope and Evil Harlequins

Revelations

Freefall
